An attempt to pay it forward after Cindy Gallop blew up my LinkedIn profile. Plus an update.

As I start to write this, I’ve been in bed a whopping 15 minutes. It’s after midnight on Wednesday, January 30th 2020. I am full on pumped up with adrenaline (but also #tiredAF if that’s possible). So I decided…let’s get up and get this down in writing, shall we? The last few days have been incredible, terrifying, and a test of my juggling abilities. Let me give you a timeline….(I do apologize to those on mobile).

Since Cindy The Michael Bay of Business Gallop posted about my mission to find a new boss, I’ve had…let’s just say, quite a few new applications. I’ve also had about a billion messages to respond to and hundreds of new connections to folks who are flat out amazing…that’s just on LinkedIn. Throw in several interviews, assignments from potential bosses, mom duties, wifely duties (j/k, that’s not happening right now 😉), checking in on a friend who’s going through a tough time…if I haven’t responded yet I’m sorry. But I will!

While this is all f*cking awesome and I’ve had/have meetings scheduled with some crazy cool potential new bosses, I’ve been wracking my brain on how to pay it forward. Obviously, I can’t pay Cindy back. And I’m guessing my 5 minutes of fame will be up soon. But I just keep thinking…man, people have been so positive and supportive. Cheering me on.

Wait. No, not like that. More like this.

Now I have this platform, albeit small, for a hot minute. Hmmm…🤔

I’d like to do my best to pay it forward and to cheer on some of the people (mostly women come to think about it) who have reached out to me with words of encouragement within the past few days. But here’s the thing. These fine folks are also on the job hunt. You know, that out-dated and downright awful process that I’m trying to shake up a little bit with this website. No, they did not ask me for anything and yes, I got their permission before posting this. I don’t know a whole lot about them other than they are some very nice people who are also looking for their next boss.

I also asked them all to send me a gif that represents their personality because obviously. Here they are along with links their LinkedIn profiles. Let’s start with the ladies.
